Comments: I'll admit it...I've got a soft spot for Cloud Cult, so this isn't the most impartial review. I loved 2007's The Meaning of 8, and I'm pretty into Feel Good Ghosts as well. Although a little more energetic than its predecessor, Feel Good Ghosts has maintained the delightful blend of percussive and melodic elements that makes Cloud Cult tick. They certainly maintain their experimentalist reputation; track 3 uses pizzicato beats to highlight Craig Minowa's almost rap-style vocals, and track 4's intro would not be out of place on a classical music CD. All in all, Feel Good Ghosts is a fabulous musical journey through the mind of Minowa, and should definitely be checked out.
