Add Date: February 17
Artist: The Appleseed Cast
Album: Sagarmatha
Label: The Militia Group/Vagrant
Genre: Rock, post-rock
Comments: "As the Little Things Go" certain doesn't sound small. It's a little bit epic, or at least as epic as this four-piece can get in 8 minutes. It drags on a little bit and I wouldn't exactly use it as my ringtone, but I think that's a fitting way to describe this collection of post-rock/emo (not in the My Bloody Valentine sense, more in the Sunny Day Real Estate one) tunes from these dudes from Lawrence, Kansas. I do like it though, and the band sounds tight throughout even if the singer leaves a little something to be desired. The album is mostly instrumental and would be a nice bridge song on a mixtape between Mogwai and Fugazi. Check out track 2.
