Comments: Noise and hooks come together on Iran’s latest album Dissolver, which is a solid, satisfying rock record featuring full-force guitar, prominent vocals, and a steady background of experimental instrumentation. Guitarist Kyp Malone is also part of college-radio favorite TV on the Radio, and the success of that group has seemingly influenced Iran in terms of scope—Dissolver, their first full album in seven years, is fuller then previous recordings, and self-described as “very hi-fi” and “more structured”.
