Comments: King of Jeans is the third LP from Allentown, Pa. band Pissed Jeans, who often get compared to another band whose name you can't say on the radio, Fucked Up. (Let's go with "P Jeans" here.) That acclaimed Toronto group tackles punk from a post-hardcore perspective, and while there are certainly elements of hardcore in Pissed Jeans' music, there's also a lot of grunge. This music is too heavy for my taste, alas, but this is definitely very good stuff--which you should have gathered after seeing that they're on Sub Pop. The label recommends "False Jesii Part 2," "Request for Masseuse" and "Human Upskirt."
