Add Date: May 24
Artist: Brute Heart
Album: Lonely Hunter
Label: Soft Abuse
Genre: Rock, experimental
Comments: From the onesheet: “Brute Heart… craft dense, trance-inducing sounds with primarily bass, drums, viola and voice… Informed by the fringes of post-punk, art rock, dark folk and other idiosyncratic strains, Brute Heart’s warm, mysterious music evoke[s] recollections of Dog Faced Hermans, The Raincoats, Family Fodder, and ESG, as well as contemporaries Quix*O*Tic, Grass Widow, and White Magic.”
That combination of instruments and musical styles makes for a very interesting listen, and it’s not a stretch to say that fans of tUnE-yArDs would also enjoy Lonely Hunter. Try tracks 2 and 3.
