Comments: Eponymous album titles are generally reserved for debuts, but Sondre Lerche is actually the sixth LP from this Norwegian-born, Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter. And as we've come to expect from Sondre Lerche, it's another stellar array of tunes, informed by pop, jazz, rock and folk from across several decades. Boosted by a slew of superbly talented musicians, Sondre Lerche is richly constructed--with keyboards and strings complementing the guitars and percussion--and at times it sounds as much like a jazz LP as anything else.
