Comments: Think Explosions in the Sky, but not quite at that level. OK, maybe that's not completely fair. However, This Will Destroy You's Tunnel Blanket is an album full of long tracks of sound. I'm all for instrumental albums, but when the first three minutes of the 12-minute long opening track is full of fuzz, I have some problems. When the true instrumentals come, the sound is good and the album has lots of atmosphere, but it takes a lot of work to get to those points. And there aren't really any melodies to carry the tracks through. So, really, it's just sound.
