Comments: Dig Down Deep, the third full-length from Mark Charles Heidinger's Vandaveer project, is an extremely well-crafted collection of folk pop tunes that will appeal to fans of Chris Bathgate, Deer Tick and early Bright Eyes. Heidinger is a brilliant songwriter, and he surrounds himself with a cast of fine musicians--notably Justin Craig, who (like Heidinger) plays guitar, bass, piano and more throughout the album, and Rose Guerin, whose harmony vocals really complete this record.

Very nicely done. Try "Concerning Past + Future Conquests", "The Nature of Our Kind" and "Spite".
