Comments: Featuring former Pela members Billy McCarthy and Eric Sanderson, as well as Rob Allen on percussion, Brooklyn's We Are Augustines debut with this eponymous 5-song EP. Drawing as much inspiration from Bruce Springsteen as from Frank Black, McCarthy has a great voice--both in terms of his vocal style and his songwriting--for rock music. The band's first full-length, Rise Ye Sunken Ships, is due out this August; in the meantime, check out "Chapel Song" and "Book of James".
