Add Date: May 31
Artist: Scumbag Philosopher
Album: It Means Nothing So It Means Nothing
Label: Words On Music
Genre: Rock, post-punk
Comments: The Norwich quartet Scumbag Philosopher plays post-punk that's dutifully obedient to predecessors like Gang of Four, Wire and The Fall. (Fittingly, they'll be on tour with Mark E. Smith and co. this summer.) From the driving bass lines of Adam Green to the half-spoken vocals of Grant Madden, the band makes no secret of its influences, and they pay homage quite well. Spin "Tickbox Exercise" and the self-titled track.
