Having received all-around praise in the UK for the LP, Hurricane lets Jones display an uplifting sound that ranges from the Jamaican dancehall-influenced "This Is" to the contemplative electronic hit "Devil in My Life". Her voice is lithe, fierce, and solid, and the album makes for some enticing house dance music.
