Add Date: April 24
Artist: Civil Twilight
Album: Holy Weather
Label: Wind-Up
Genre: Indie rock
Comments: Civil Twilight's latest album, Holy Weather, moves stealthily from subdued indie rock to flashes of electronic dance. "Layers" is a key word when addressing this album: piano on top of a drum machine on top of drums, with sonic bursts transitioning the tracks. Each song offers a perspective to the album, creating a multifaceted work that is far-reaching while containing a solid core sound. It works, but in some instances, especially in the latter half, the album starts to get boring. Not extremely compelling, but worth a listen for fans of acts like Coldplay and Thom Yorke.
Start with tracks 1, 3 and 7.
