Comments: In her new EP Time to Plant Tears, released on December 2nd, 2021, Nisa explores the many emotions associated with confrontation, combining complexity of feeling with complexity of music. Her delicate voice leads each of the six tracks that feature many instrumental elements. Listeners hear lots of techno in “Optic Nerve” (Track 4), with little beeps and synth backing Nisa up. The trumpet solo in “The Savior” (5) distinguishes it as the most popular track of the list. Throughout each track, as well, Nisa layers harmonies to bring her music past the garage indie rock phase, elevating her style. Lastly, intense drums and light electric guitar spice up each song.
