Comments: After his fall 2010 EP Play the Piano Drunk drew him comparisons to Bob Dylan and Tom Waits--from the record's promoter, but still--Pennsylvania's Adam Taylor veers from folk to pop-rock on this 7-song set. I keep thinking of the country-tinged North Carolina band Roman Candle while listening to No Poet, and that's certainly not a bad thing. Check out "Oliver" and "Jazzonia (Silver Tree)".
