Comments: Everything about Truly Alive, the debut LP from the Brisbane 4-piece Mitzi, seems easy: the mood, the melodies, the whole nature of easygoing pop songs like "Who Will Love You Now". That's not meant as a slight; certainly, making songs that are this catchy (and this good) is far from a simple task, but Mitzi pull it off so seamlessly that I expect to be forgiven for this misconstruction.

Though they are indeed Australian, you'd also be excused for mistaking this record as something that's come straight out of Scandinavia--fittingly, Mitzi has shared the stage with the likes of Little Dragon and The Whitest Boy Alive, among others, playing what the promoter calls "their brand of garage disco, NYC dance, and the lightheartedness of Australian pop."
