Comments: The Ericksons are a duo that formed out of tragedy: back in 2006, one of the dying wishes of the artist Lee Erickson was that his wife, Bethany--a biologist by trade but a music connoisseur--would make her own tunes. Enter Bethany's sister Jenny, and The Ericksons were born. Seven years later, the two sisters are releasing their third album, The Wild.
Though their backstory is tragic, The Ericksons' music is uplifting. As the onesheet describes it: "Wearing influences like A.A. Bondy, Emmylou Harris and The Pines on their sleeves, The Wild completely envelops the listener in the life that Bethany and Jenny have made in song. From [the] opening cry of lead single 'Gone Blind' to the torch song with a gasping punch of 'Find Yourself a Lover' and the everyday blues of 'Dirty Dishes', there is a universal beauty here that transcends lived pain..."
Start with tracks 3, 1, 7 and 4.
