Comments: The dynamic duo that is Midnight Faces is made up of Philip Stancil and Matthew Warn. Warn's "powerful song structures" combined with Stancil's "soaring vocal hooks"make for what the promoter describes as a "truly unique sound." I would not disagree, but the promoter fails to mention the way that the band incorporates modern electronica into alternative music with comforting and nostalgic undertones. The instrumentals and the tone of the vocals are soothing and catchy at the same time. If you are a fan of M83 or Helio Sequence, then this is definitely for you. Even if you are not, give it a spin, and you might be surprised.
