Comments: El Futuro is the debut album from Fantastic, the Gothenburg duo of Markus Hasselblom and Daniel Strandman. The album sticker puts it succinctly: "Fantastic combines pop hooks, dark harmonic tides, and programmed beats to spin a dizzying emotional kaleidoscope of pop melodies amidst a desert sandstorm of psych and kraut influences." That sums it up rather well: El Futuro falls somewhere in between the psychedelic explorations of fellow Swedes Dungen and the poppier, if no less trippy, work of Tame Impala.
