Comments: Hailing from the land of Teenage Fanclub and Belle & Sebastian, The Pooches take their Bandcamp fame to a new frontier with their self-titled full-length record. On their first LP (and second release) on Lame-O Records (former home of Modern Baseball), this indie rock quartet puts up tight, catchy melodies, complete with a dash of fuzzy, lo-fi sensibility. The Pooches find themselves in a nice place of post-punk/new wave foundations, putting together finely wound foot tapping tunes that will satisfy fans of "Age of Consent" or "Boys Don't Cry".
