Comments: Tucson-based The Myrrors return with their third full-length LP Hasta La Victoria, an excellent record full of rich, guitar-centered soundscapes and hypnotic melodies that’ll make you get lost in the music if you’re not careful. As the promoter states: “The Myrrors have a way of sounding larger than life; life music that was discovered entirely by accident in the desert, existing only for itself, relishing in its own impressive and hypnotic energy.” The only unfortunate part about the release is that while the music is very worthwhile and rewarding, with the record spanning nearly 40 minutes in only five songs, the tracks stand on the fringe of being too long for radio play. Certainly worth checking out regardless, however.
