Comments: Test Subject's debut album Study is a journey through their concept album, aptly following a test subject through a journey "back," with many songs clearly detailing his coming of age. As the album progresses, it shifts from an electronic, experimental sound to more of a true indie pop sound, with a folk-bent reminiscent of Waxahatchee in "Tumbleweed." Between these transitions, there's something for almost anyone who's into indie/experimental in this impressive debut. You'll like Study if you're a fan of True Blue, Hyd, or Aerial East.
