Comments: From the onesheet: "Just out of their teens, it seems Copenhagen's Iceage have only added to the anxiety and tension that made their debut album, New Brigade, so compelling. But now, they're challenging their raging emotions instead of simply expressing them. You're Nothing, Iceage's sophomore album, is the sound of a band pushing their singular mix of punk, Goth, hardcore, and post-punk to even further extremes. It's overwhelming how many ways Iceage have found to write the short aggressive rock song."
Overwhelming, indeed--these Danes were all between 16 and 18 years old when they recorded New Brigade, and they're still way too young to be making music that's this potent and powerful. You're Nothing, the band's self-produced sophomore album, is a 28-minute blast of magnificent, loud, breathtaking rock tunes--more of the music that the New York Times has described as "a pileup of punk sub-styles".
One of 2013's best. Start with tracks 2, 12, 6, 4, 7 and 1.
