Comments: From the promoter: "Arcadian" is the new album from Seattle-based electronic music songwriter/producer Kasson Crooker, aka Symbion Project. After founding early-aughts synth pop group Freezepop, Crooker retired from the band to focus on his own Symbion Project, and eight albums later is Arcadian - a densely layered album touching on electronic-based, beat-driven song structures that draw circles around the world's more melancholy realities. The album features collaborations with Briana Marcela, Seattle''s Jennie Potts, Finnish singer Markus Junnikkala, and long-time collaborator Melissa R Kaplan."
This album reminds me of a slightly brighter, less acoustic Bon Iver album, at least at the beginning. It changes somewhat in the middle and departs from that gray, bleak soundscape and becomes a little more individual, its own brand of dreamy, experimental synthscapes. This is perfect studying music, or something to spin on your show in between the more upbeat stuff.
